We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team. This is a seasonal position that will end sometime between October-November. The right person may have the opportunity to rejoin our company in 2009. This is also an excellent ground level opportunity with possible future advancement to supervisor/foreman position for the right individual(s).

This position is open to a variety of individuals who are willing to work either full time/part time and M-F, Weekends, or both. Days off depend on work load, but most importantly, weather conditions. Typical daily meeting place is in Rocky Hill, CT however, in certain cases you may be able to meet us at the jobsite if it is closer more convenient for you. Typical normal business hours - some late evenings and rarely night-time maintenance tasks for commercial locations. Must be reliable, punctual, show up on time.

Criteria

The ideal applicant for this position will possess the following knowledge and skills.

- Have experience and an excellent working knowledge of application of pavement coal-tar and asphalt emulsion sealers using brush, squeegee and mechanical spray application methods.
- Have an excellent knowledge regarding sealer mix design, use of sand, additives and proper ratio and percentages.
- Knowledge of application direct-fire rubberized crack sealing materials and good working knowledge of equipment and proper application and finishing techniques.
- Have proper knowledge of proper surface and crack cleaning and preparation techniques and methods.
- Able to diagnose and create dynamic maintenance and repair strategies for pavement surfaces.
- Excellent English verbal and written/reading communication skills.
- Knowledge of various pavement conditions and proper repair techniques.

Requirements

- Must possess a valid drivers license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation to come to work.
- Must possess the ability to pass a drug and/or alcohol test and criminal background check.
- No serious felony or misdemeanor convictions.
- Excellent customer service skills with a good attitude.
- Clean, neat appearance that represents a quality image for our company.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and up to 100lbs with help if needed.
- Handle an array of power equipment.
- Must be able to stand and work in a demanding environment in the sun and warm/hot weather.
- Must be able to perform manual labor, including but not limited to: lifting, luting, tamping, clean-up.
- Minor mechanical ability to replace or perform minor maintenance tasks on equipment in the field.
- Follow company standards of quality, neat professional results.
- May be required to train new employees in the future.
- Be sharp and able maintain the highest safety standards possible.
- Be a team player.

Pay depending on experience and other factors. Bonuses based on volume of work completed.
